Privacy Policy

Sada is a speech-to-text app for iPhone and Mac, developed by Basel Baragabah. This policy explains what data the app handles and what never leaves your device. The short version: your audio, transcripts, and summaries are processed entirely on your device and are never sent to us or to any server.
What We Don’t Collect
Sada does not require an account, and we do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:
- Your voice recordings or live microphone audio
- Your transcripts, summaries, or translations
- Your name, email address, contacts, or location
All speech recognition, summarization, and translation happen locally using on-device machine-learning models. Nothing you record or transcribe ever reaches our servers — we don’t operate any servers that receive user content.
Microphone Access
Sada requests microphone access solely to transcribe your speech in real time. Audio is processed on-device and is not recorded or uploaded unless you explicitly save it, in which case it is stored only on your device.
Model Downloads
The Arabic recognition model is downloaded once from Apple’s servers when you first need it. This is a standard Apple-hosted download; Apple may process routine technical data (such as your IP address) to deliver it, as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. Translation features may similarly download Apple’s on-device translation models.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To manage subscriptions and unlock purchases, Sada uses RevenueCat, which receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier, your purchase history for this app, and basic device information (such as device model and OS version). This data is used only to validate purchases and restore them across your devices, and is not used for advertising or tracking.
Analytics and Tracking
Sada contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no trackers. We do not build user profiles and we do not sell or share any data.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because your recordings and transcripts exist only on your device, you are in full control of them. Deleting a transcript in the app, or deleting the app itself, removes that data permanently. We hold no copy to delete on our end.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and revise the date at the top before the change takes effect.
