Terms of Use – AutoSub

1. Acceptance

By installing or using AutoSub, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2. Subscriptions and Payment

AutoSub offers auto-renewable subscriptions and may offer lifetime purchases.
Purchases are managed through Apple’s in-app purchase system and may be facilitated by RevenueCat.

  • The available plans, prices, and any lifetime purchase options are displayed in the App Store and within the app before you confirm your purchase.
  • Payments are charged to your Apple ID account.
  • Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Lifetime purchases are charged once and remain active permanently on your Apple ID.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID account settings.

3. Use of the App

You may use AutoSub only for lawful and personal transcription, translation, and subtitle creation purposes.

You are responsible for ensuring that any video or audio you process can legally be used for transcription, translation, subtitle creation, export, and sharing.

You may not reverse engineer, copy, attempt to extract source code, bypass paywalls or limits,
abuse the service, or interfere with any part of the app or its systems.

3.1 Prohibited Use

You agree not to use AutoSub for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.

  • Content that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
  • Content intended to harass, threaten, exploit, or harm others
  • Any attempt to abuse, overload, or bypass the app’s technical, usage, or subscription limits

You are solely responsible for the content you process and for ensuring that your use of AutoSub complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

3.2 Privacy and Processing

AutoSub supports multiple translation modes. How your data is processed depends on the mode you choose.

  • On-device modes (Apple Translate and Google Translate):
    Transcription and translation are processed on your device.
    AutoSub does not upload your original video files in these modes.
  • AI Translate mode (PRO):
    When you choose AI Translate, AutoSub sends only the necessary text data
    (such as transcript segments) to an AI model provider to generate translations.
    AutoSub does not upload your original video file as part of AI translation.
  • Connectivity:
    AI Translate requires an internet connection.
    On-device modes may work offline if required language resources are available on your device.

3.3 AI Translate Fair Usage

AI Translate includes fair usage limits to help keep the service reliable and prevent abuse.
If you reach a limit, AutoSub may temporarily restrict AI Translate.
You can continue using Apple Translate or Google Translate until the limits reset.
Your usage status and reset timing may be shown inside the app.

4. Ownership and Intellectual Property

All app content, design, and software belong to Basel Baragbah or its licensors.

You retain ownership of any content you process within the app.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

AutoSub is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied.
We do not guarantee that transcriptions or translations will be perfectly accurate,
uninterrupted, or suitable for any specific purpose.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law,
AutoSub’s total liability for any claims related to your use of the app
will not exceed the amount you have paid for the subscription or purchase
during the past 12 months.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or abuse the service.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through Apple ID settings.
Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current period.
Lifetime purchases cannot be refunded once completed, except where required by law.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Saudi Arabia,
and any disputes will be handled in the courts of the Riyadh Region.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time.
Updates will be posted in the app or on our website.
Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
