Terms of Use – SubOut

1. Acceptance

By installing or using SubOut, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2. Purchases and Payment

SubOut is free to download and includes a free tier with limited extraction length.
A one-time in-app purchase unlocks Pro features, including unlimited extraction length.
Purchases are managed through Apple’s in-app purchase system and may be facilitated by RevenueCat.

  • The available features, prices, and the one-time purchase option are displayed in the App Store and within the app before you confirm your purchase.
  • Payments are charged to your Apple ID account.
  • The Pro unlock is a one-time purchase — there is no auto-renewing subscription.
  • SubOut supports Apple Universal Purchase, so a single purchase unlocks Pro on iPhone, iPad, and Mac when signed in to the same Apple ID.
  • You can restore a previous purchase at any time using the “Restore Purchases” option inside the app.

3. Use of the App

You may use SubOut only for lawful and personal subtitle extraction, editing, and export purposes.

You are responsible for ensuring that any video you process can legally be used for subtitle extraction, editing, export, and sharing.

You may not reverse engineer, copy, attempt to extract source code, bypass paywalls or free-tier limits,
abuse the service, or interfere with any part of the app or its systems.

3.1 Prohibited Use

You agree not to use SubOut for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.

  • Content that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
  • Content intended to harass, threaten, exploit, or harm others
  • Any attempt to abuse, overload, or bypass the app’s technical, usage, or purchase limits

You are solely responsible for the content you process and for ensuring that your use of SubOut complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

3.2 Privacy and Processing

SubOut performs all subtitle detection and text recognition fully on your device.

  • Fully on-device processing:
    Subtitle detection and text recognition both run locally on your device.

    SubOut does not upload your videos, frames, or extracted subtitles to any server.

  • Connectivity:
    SubOut works offline. An internet connection is only required to verify your purchase with Apple and RevenueCat the first time, and to restore purchases on a new device.

3.3 Free Tier and Pro Unlock

The free tier limits subtitle extraction to a maximum video length displayed inside the app.
Videos longer than this limit will be processed up to the cap, and the remainder requires the Pro unlock.
The Pro unlock is a one-time purchase that removes the length limit on all current and future projects on devices signed in to your Apple ID.

4. Ownership and Intellectual Property

All app content, design, and software belong to Basel Baragbah or its licensors.

You retain ownership of any content you process within the app, including the subtitle files you export.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

SubOut is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied.
We do not guarantee that subtitle detection or text recognition will be perfectly accurate,
uninterrupted, or suitable for any specific purpose.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law,
SubOut’s total liability for any claims related to your use of the app
will not exceed the amount you have paid for the app
during the past 12 months.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or abuse the service.

Because the Pro unlock is a one-time purchase, there is no subscription to cancel.
Refund requests are handled by Apple under the App Store’s standard refund policy
and cannot be processed by us directly, except where required by law.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Saudi Arabia,
and any disputes will be handled in the courts of the Riyadh Region.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time.
Updates will be posted in the app or on our website.
Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
